  1. World Philosophy Day is commemorated on the third Thursday of November every year. This year it will fall on 17 November. The theme of World Philosophy Day 2022 is “The Human of the Future”.
  2. Every year in India, 17 November is observed as National Epilepsy Day to create awareness about epilepsy. International Epilepsy Day is observed every year on the second Monday of February. 
  3. Every year, 17 November is observed as International Students’ Day to ensure that every student has access to education.
  4. The Union Govt has appointed Financial Services Secretary Vivek Joshi as a director on the central board of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
  5. Women self-help groups conference was held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. President Droupadi Murmu participated in the conference of women’s self-help group of Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission in Bhopal.
  6. Madhya Pradesh government on 15 November, 2022 implemented the Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas (PESA) Act in the state.
  7. Abhijit Bose, WhatsApp’s head of India, and Rajiv Aggarwal, Director Public Policy, Meta India, have resigned from their positions.
  8. IIM Ahmedabad has announced the appointment of Pankaj R. Patel as the new Chairperson of the Board of Governors, effective 16 November, 2022.
  9.  India was handed over the Presidency of the G20 at the closing session of the G20 Summit in Bali on 16 November, 2022. India will officially assume the G20 presidency from 1 December, 2022.
  10. Star Indian paddler Achanta Sharath Kamal has become the first player from India to get elected to the Athletes’ Commission of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
  11. Former Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Virmani has been appointed as a full-time member of NITI Aayog.
  12. The Central government has extended the term of Dr VG Somani, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) by three more months.
  13. The navies of India, Japan, Australia and the US concluded the 26th edition of the multinational maritime exercise ‘MALABAR’ in the seas off Japan on 15th November, 2022.
  14. India’s space regulator, Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) on 16 November, 2022 authorized the launch of the first private sector rocket ‘Vikram-S’.
  15. 65th Annual Grammy Awards to take place in Los Angeles on 5 February, 2023. The Recording Academy has released the full list of nominees for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
  16. Veteran screenwriter, producer and director Rakesh Kumar passed away on 10 November in Mumbai.
  17. The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to kick off on 20 November in Qatar. This will be the first-ever time that the tournament is held in the winter months.
