  1. World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) runs from 18 to 24 November every year. The theme of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) 2022 is “Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together”.
  2. National Naturopathy Day is observed in India every year on 18 November, to promote positive mental and physical health through drug-free therapy. The theme of National Naturopathy Day 2022 is “Naturopathy: an Integrative medicine”.
  3. The UN General Assembly has declared 18 November as the World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence.
  4. 18 November 2022 marked the 60th anniversary of Rezang La Day. The Battle of Rezang La in 1962 in Eastern Ladakh, was India’s one of the remarkable military expeditions.
  5. Indian Army celebrated the 242nd Corps of Engineers Day on 18 November.
  6. The one month long Kashi Tamil Sangamam began on 17 November, 2022 in Varanasi. It is being organized as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

  8. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai on 16 November, 2022 announced that 6 new high-tech cities in Hubbali, Dharwad, Mysore, Mangaluru, central Karnataka and one near Bengaluru will be built within six months.

  10. Meta has appointed Sandhya Devanathan as its new top executive for the country. She will transition to her new role as country head of Meta India from 1 January, 2023.
  11. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has been invited by the Election Commission of Nepal as an International Observer for the forthcoming elections to Nepal’s House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.
  12. In the Asian Airgun Championships, team of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Shikha Narwal bagged another gold medal for India in the tournament in Daegu, South Korea.
  13. India participated in the fourth meeting of the Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan held in Moscow 16 November, 2022.
  14. The three day long International Tourism Mart (ITM) began in Mizoram on 17 November, 2022. It is the 10th edition of the mart, jointly organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the state tourism department.
  15. Noted Odiya literateur and former Indian ambassador Abasara Beuria passed away on 17 November, 2022.
  16. Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority has appointed Suraj Bhan as the chairman of the National Pension System Trust (NPS Trust).
  17. GeoSmart India 2022 Summit inaugurated in Hyderabad. Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat on 15 November, 2022 inaugurated the GeoSmart India 2022 Summit, a three-day annual event on geospatial technologies, in Hyderabad.
