  1. The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery is celebrated, each year, on 2 December. The theme of International Day for the Abolition of Slavery 2022 is “Stories of Courage: Resistance to Slavery and Unity against Racism”.
  2. 2 December is observed as International Computer Literacy Day.
  3. National Pollution Control Day is observed every year on 2 December, in India.
  4. Stephanie Frappart of France has been the first woman to referee a men’s World Cup match on 2 December, 2022.
  5. Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) on 30 November, 2022 was conferred the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar 2022.
  6. Senior Bureaucrat Sanjay Malhotra took charge as the secretary in the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance on 1 December, 2022.
  7. The Annual Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise ‘Samanvay 2022’ was conducted at Air Force Station, Agra from 28 November, 2022 to 30 November, 2022.
  8. The 23rd edition of the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland started on 1 December, 2022 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.  
  9. Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on 30 November conducted the 24th National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOS-DCP) and preparedness meeting in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 
  10. Airline EasyJet and Aircraft Engine maker Rolls-Royce announced that they have successfully tested a hydrogen-powered aircraft engine, which is described as the World’s first for aviation.
  11. Indian Army’s Sudarshan Chakra Corps carried out Exercise Sudarshan Prahar in the deserts of Rajasthan on 29 November, 2022.
  12. Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane inaugurated the first Coastal Security Conference organized by the Indian Coast Guard in Chennai on 1 December, 2022.
  13. The 12th Edition of Exercise Agni Warrior concluded at Field Firing Ranges at Devlali in Maharashtra on 1 December, 2022.
  14. India will assume chairmanship of the Wassenaar Arrangement (WA) Plenary for a year on 1 January, 2023.
  15. IAS Sanjay Kumar took charge as Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy on 1 December, 2022.
  16. Union Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, on 1 December, 2022 launched Digi Yatra from the Idnira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi for three airports in the country, namely New Delhi, Varanasi and Bengaluru.
  17. National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) hosted Inclusion Conclave for athletes with disabilities on 2 December, 2022. 
  18. South Korea’s Mina Sue Choi was crowned Miss Earth 2022 during the pageant’s coronation night on 29 November at Cove Manila, Okada Hotel, Parañaque City.
