  1. Human Rights Day is observed on the 10th of December. The theme of Human Rights Day 2022 is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for all”.
  2. Nobel Prize Day is observed on 10 December.
  3. Ministry of Civil Aviation accorded ‘in-principle’ approval for the setting up of 21 greenfield airports of which 9 have been operationalised.
  4. The 9th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo 2022 is being organized in Goa from 8 to 11 December, 2022.
  5. Indian Naval Ships INS Kochi, INS Kavaratti and INS Sumedha arrived in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh to participate in the maiden International Fleet Review (IFR) being conducted by the Bangladesh Navy.  
  6. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda introduced the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Amendment) Bills 2022.
  7. K V Shaji was appointed as the Chairman of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) on 7 December, 2022.
  8. The government appointed Meenesh C Shah as the Managing Director of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) on 9 December, 2022.
  9. The Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela (PMNAM) will be held on 12 December in 197 Districts across India.
  10.  Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Social Alpha on 7 December, 2022 signed an MoU to launch SpaceTech Innovation Network (SpIN).
  11. Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat chaired the 10th meeting of the Empowered Task Force of the National Mission for Clean Ganga on 9 December, 2022.
  12.  Indian-origin Sushmita Shukla has been appointed as First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on 9 December, 2022.
  13. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is organizing a two-day convention on the theme ‘Universal Health Coverage Day (UHC) 2022’ on 10 and 11 December in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
  14. Belgium captain Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from international football after Belgium’s early exit from the FIFA World Cup 2022.
  15. Chairman of Tata Sons, N Chandrasekaran has been appointed as the chair of B20 India which represents the entire G20 business community.
  16. The Election Commission informed TRS President and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that it has accepted the name change of his party from Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
  17. World champion American hurdler Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Swedish pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis won the World Athlete of the Year awards.
