  1. President of India Droupadi Murmu has signed a notification to amend the Allocation of Business (AOB) Rules to place online gaming under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
  2. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the first metro rail in Dhaka. The first journey was between Diabari and Agargaon station.  
  3. On 27 December, 2022 India-assisted 720 Megawatt Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Power Project has been handed to Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) in Bhutan. 
  4. The Indian Army inaugurated its first 3-D Printed House Dwelling Unit (with Ground plus One configuration) for soldiers at Ahmedabad Cantt.
  5. On 27 December 2022, the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Government of Rajasthan, has been honoured with ‘Effective Government Communication Award’ for taking public welfare schemes through digital media to the general public and the beneficiaries. 
  6. The SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched into low Earth Orbit the first 54 Starlink Satellites of the new generation, or v2.0 or Gen2.
  7. Vice President Kamala Harris has named Indian American Rajeev Badyal to a key national space advisory group, which is tasked to maintain a robust and responsible US space enterprise and preserve space for current and future generations. 
  8. On 28 December 2022, the Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri launched draft guidelines for a new ranking system of cities based on finance and beauty. 
  9. Benjamin Netanyahu was sworn-in as Israel’s Prime Minister for a sixth time, leading the Jewish state’s right-wing Likud party. 
  10. Indian Cricketers Suryakumar Yadav and Smriti Mandhana were on 29 December, 2022 nominated for the men’s and women’s T20 Cricketer of the Year awards 2022. 
  11. The Maharashtra Government has appointed Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran as the head of the new Economic Advisory Council of Maharashtra. 
  12. International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the US-based international organisation has selected the anti-drug and illicit liquor campaign ‘Nijaat’ of Chhattisgarh police for ‘Leadership in Crime Prevention’ award in the institutional category. 
  13. On 29 December 2022, Union Minister of Roads Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the country’s second longest cable-stayed eight-lane Zuari Bridge in Goa which links North and South Goa. 
  14. Ajit Kumar Saxena assumed the charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the public sector enterprise MOIL Limited on 30 December, 2022.  
  15. Mahima Swamy, an Indian scientist hailing from Bengaluru, Karnataka, has been chosen to join the prestigious European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Young Investor network, recognising her as one of the top talents in Biology-Immunology in Europe.
  16. Arata Isozaki, a Pritzker-winning Japanese architect known as a ‘post-modern giant’ who blended culture and history of the East and the West in his designs, passed away at the age of 91.
