  1. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that, Visakhapatnam, a port and industrial city will be declared as the new capital of the state, during the International Diplomatic Alliance Meet, a curtain-raiser event for the Global Investor Summit, held in New Delhi.  
  2. Morgan Stanley has appointed Arun Kohli as the new India head to replace Sanjay Shah.
  3. Indian journalist and author Palagummi Sainath has authored a new book titled ‘The Last Heroes-Foot Soldiers of Indian Freedom’ which broadly deals with the history of India’s freedom struggle written from the perspective of common people.
  4. Prashant Agrawal has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
  5. The Ministry of Cooperation on 2 February, 2023 signed an MoU with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, NABARD and CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to enable Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and provide services by Common Service Centres (CSC).
  6. Equatorial Guinea has appointed Manuela Roka Botey as the first woman Prime Minister of the country.  
  7. Ahmedabad will host a programme dedicated to Gujarat police titled ‘Rakshak: Ek Shaam Gujarat Police Ke Naam’ on 25 February, 2023.
  8. Madhya Pradesh has won all four gold medals in the water sports Canoeing and Kayaking at Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2022, held in Bhopal.
  9. The President of India Droupadi Murmu addressed the 31st Foundation Day of the National Commission for Women in Delhi on 31 January, 2023. The theme of the program was ‘Sashakt Nari Sashakt Bharat’ which aimed at acknowledging and celebrating the stories of women who have excelled and paved their journey to leave a mark.
  10. Madhvendra Singh has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gujarat Ports Infrastructure Company Limited of the Gujarat Maritime Cluster.
  11. In the Finals of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela, FIH President Tayyab Ikram presented the FIH President’s Award to VK Pandian, Secretary to the Chief Minister of Odisha, for his commendable contribution to hockey.  
  12. The United Nations cultural organization, UNESCO, designated the historic centre of Odesa as a World Heritage Site and categorized it as being “in danger” during a committee meeting in Paris.
  13. Azad Engineering Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based market leader in engineering, has been approved as the first Indian company to supply critical rotating parts for nuclear turbines.  
  14. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been included in the 25th edition of FORTUNE Magazine’s list of the ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’ for 2023.
  15. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and Engineers India Limited (EIL) signed an MoU for the construction of waste-to-energy and bio-methanation projects in million-plus cities for ‘Green Growth’ of India.
  16. Legendary film director K. Vishwanath passed away in Hyderabad on 2 February, at the age of 92 while undergoing treatment for age-related illnesses at a hospital.
