  1. International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is observed on 6 February. The theme of 2023 is “Partnership with Men and Boys to transform Social and gender Norms to End FGM”. 
  2. Mahindra Finance has appointed Raul Rebello as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Designate.
  3. Yaya Tso, known as birds’ paradise for its beautiful lake located at an altitude of 4,820 metres, has been proposed as Ladakh’s first biodiversity heritage site (BHS).
  4. ISRO and Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) plans to develop a training module for the Indian Spaceflight Programme using Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality / Mixed Reality (AR / VR / MR).
  5. Ricky Kej, a musician, won his third Grammy Award for the album ‘Divine Tides’, which he co-wrote with rock legend Stewart Copeland.
  6. The Maharashtra Government announced the ‘Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha’ as the state song, which is usually performed at school cultural events on 1 May, second only to the national anthem. The song will be adopted on 19 February, the birth anniversary of the founder of the Maratha empire Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
  7. The biennial air show and aviation expo, Aero India 2023, will be held from 13–17 February, 2023 at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, which has hosted it since 1996.
  8. Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of a Rs. 450 crore nano urea plant and township of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) in Deoghar, Jharkhand. 
  9. India, France and the United Arab Emirates on 4 February, 2023 announced the creation of a formal trilateral cooperation initiative for projects in solar and nuclear energy, the fight against climate change and joint production of military hardware.
  10. Gymnast Dipa Karmakar has been handed a 21-month ban for failing a dope test conducted by the International Testing Agency.
  11. The 15th meeting of the standing committee of the Central Zonal Council was organised in Dehradun on 4 February, 2023.
  12. Passengers traveling in Indian Railways can now order food online through WhatsApp while undertaking a journey by using their PNR number.
  13. Sai Sanjay has become the National champion in the MRF Formula 2000 class, in the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship.
  14. Digital India Mobile Van was launched by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in New Delhi.
  15. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) on 6 February, 2023 signed two MoUs with Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
  16. Noted Kannada writer and Sahitya Akademi Awardee K. V. Tirumalesh passed away in Hyderabad at the age of 82.
