  1. 11 December is marked as the birth anniversary of Mahakavi Subrananian Bharati.
  2. ‘Universal Health Coverage Day’ is observed on 12 December every Year. “Leave No one Behind when it comes to Health : Invest in Health Systems for All” is the theme for 2021.
  3. ‘International Day of Neutrality’ is observed on 12 December every Year.
  4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Saryu Canal National Project in the Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh on 11 December 2021.
  5. The Tripura government has given its approval for setting up a Buddhist University in Manu Bankul in Sabroom.
  6. Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme‘ in Dehradun. The scheme is aimed to provide incentives benefiting around 53,000 people of Uttarakhand.
  7. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has entered into an MoU with the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) Gandhinagar. It will facilitate training for teachers of Sainik Schools.
  8. Padmashree Srinivas Udgata was awarded ‘Kalinga Literary Award’ and Arun Kamal was awarded the ‘Kalinga Literary International Award’. Divya Dutta was awarded ‘Literary (women writer) Award’.
  9. Amit Goenka, President of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL), was felicitated with the 21st century Icon Awards at the House of Lords in the UK on 11 December 2021.
  10. The Haiderpur Wetland abutting the Madhya Ganga barrage, about 10 km from Bijnor in western Uttar Pradesh, has been recognised under the 1971 Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.
  11. The 9th edition of India Skills Report (ISR) 2022, released by Wheebox, Maharashtra has retained the top position in the list of states with the highest poll of employable talent followed by Uttar Pradesh and Kerala. The theme of ISR 2022 – ‘Rebuilding and Reengineering the Future of Work’.

  14. US President Joe Biden on 10 December 2021 elevated Indian American Gautam Raghavan to a new position making him head of the white House office of Presidential Personnel.
  15. India claimed 41 medals (12 Gold, 15 Silver, 14 Bronze) at the 4th Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG), Asia’s biggest event held at Riffa city, Bahrain.
  16. Divyansh Singh Panwar won two consecutive titles in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle National Championship.
  17. In the 2021 Commonwealth Championships being held in Tashkent, Weightlifter Hazarika Popy has clinched a silver medal in the Women’s 59-Kilogram category.  In that event weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga won the gold medal in the men’s 67kg category
