1. World Arabic Language Day is observed globally on 18 December every year. UNESCO has announced the theme of 2021 world Arabic Language Day as, “Arabic Language, a bridge between Civilisations”.
2. RBI has authorized RBL Bank to collect indirect taxes on behalf of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
3. The Centre and Maharashtra government have signed a pact to set up five more Multi-modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) in the state.
4. Australian actor Cate Blanchett will be receiving French Cinema’s top honour, the Cesar d’Honneru, a lifetime achievement award, from the French Film Academy.
5. The government of India and the Germany Development Bank KFW (Dreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau) have signed a 442.20-million-euro loan pact for the Surat Metro Rail Project.
6. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Launched ‘RashtriyaEktaGeet’ composed by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets in 22 languages on the theme of national Integration, on 17 December.

8. England’s Joe Root has created history by becoming only the fourth player to score 1600 Test runs in a calendar year.
9. India Successfully test fired the nuclear – capable strategic Agni Prime Missile (Agni P) off the coast of Odisha in Balasore on 18 December. It is a 2 stage canisterised missile that has the capability to hit targets between 1000-2000 km.
10. The world Bank’s fund to help the World’s poorest nations has got $ 93 billion of cash to help scale up aid for pandemic recovery and other programs.
11. PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur on 18 December.
12. Every Year, December 18 is observed s Minorities Rights Day. It was declared in 1992 by the United Nations.
13. India's HansiniMathanRajan defeated Syria's Hend Zaza to win the girl's singles event at the 2021 ITTF Hopes and Challenge table tennis tournament in Amman, Jordan, in December 2021.
14. International Migrants Day is observed on 18 December every year to tackle the problem and challenges of global migration. The theme for the year 2021 is ‘Harnessing the potential of human mobility’.
15. The 3rd meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue is being held from 18-20 Dec, in New Delhi. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will be hosting the meeting in New Delhi.
16. Aditya Birla Group’s chairman, Kumar Mangalam Birla has received the Global Entrepreneur of the Year Award- Business Transformation from The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) based out of Silicon Valley.
