  1. 50th statehood Day of Tripura, Meghalaya, and Manipur was celebrated on 21 January 2022.
  2. Meghalaya cabinet has approved the recommendations of three regional committees, namely West Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi, East and West Jaintia Hills, to resolve the Meghalaya-Assam border issue.

The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) announced the “Open Data Week” during the third week of January from 17th January 2022 to 21st January 2022, that will see participation from all the 100 smart cities, a move aimed at ensuring a collaborative effort towards making Indian cities “data smart”.

  15. Microsoft Corp. is set to acquire game making company, Activision Blizzard Inc., in an all-cash transaction for $68.7 billion.
