  1. India observes “National Voters’ Day” every year on January 25 to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process. The theme for this year’s NVD is ‘Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative’. 
  2. National Tourism Day is celebrated on 25 January every year. The theme for National Tourism Day 2022 is “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
  3. Ahead of Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually interacted with the awardees of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) on January 24 , amid covid-19 pandemic.
  4. The Republic Day Parade will be held at Rajpath in Delhi on 26 January 2022. The Republic Day parade 2022 will have 17 military bands, 16 marching contingents, and 25 tableaux of various states, departments, and the armed forces.

  8. Governments of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh signed an agreement to build a dam at Adi Badri in Yamunanagar district. It is situated in Haryana near Himachal Pradesh border.The Dam will rejuvenate the mythical Saraswati River.
  9. The Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management and Professor Vinod Sharma have been selected for the ‘Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar 2022’.
  10. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of 20 lakh on Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBIA).

  18. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 schedule has been released and India will begin its T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan on October 23, 2022, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
