  1. Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the 75th ‘Raising Day’ Parade of Delhi Police on 16 February, 2022. Following a parade, Shah also released a special postage stamp commemorating the Delhi Police’s 75 years of service.
  2. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways plans to develop 22 Greenfield Expressways, 23 Key infrastructure projects, and 35 Multi-Modal Logistics Parks as part of the ‘PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan’.
  3. The Jal Jeevan Mission has achieved a milestone of providing tap water to nine crore rural homes in the country.
  4. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma (As of Feb 2022) conferred the state’s highest civilian award ‘Assam Baibhav’ to Tata Trust’s Chairman Ratan Tata in Mumbai 16 Feb, 2022.
  5. India will launch the first part of the National Hydrogen Policy on 17 February, 2022. The policy is aimed at boosting green hydrogen production in the country.
  6. The central government has nominated Sanjay Malhotra (As of Feb 2022) as a Director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India.
  7. Government has approved a new scheme “New India Literacy Programme” for the period 2022-2027.
  8. Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh has launched ‘Kunsnyoms Scheme’ for differently-abled persons. 
  9. Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has launched the ‘Waste to Wealth Creation’ programme for women in the Sundarbans in West Bengal.
  10. A new book titled “Humane: How the United States Abandoned Peace and Reinvented War” authored by Samuel Moyn was released. 
  11. The 8th Annual Meeting of the Indo-German working Group on Quality Infrastructure was held virtually on 16 February, 2022.
  12. Eminent Kannada literatteur Dr. Chennaveera Kanavi passed away in February 2022.
  13. A team of scientists, including Indian and International collaborators, have derived the accurate value of Pluto’s atmospheric pressure at its surface.
  14. English club, Chelsea has defeated Brazilian club Palmeiras, 2-1, to win the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup final. 
  15. Haryana team defeated the Indian Railway 3-0, to win the Men’s title in ‘Senior National Volleyball Championship 2021-22’. Similarly, in the women’s category, the Kerala team defeated the Indian Railway 3-1, to lift the trophy.
