  1. Water taxi services connecting the twin cities, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, the first of its kind in India, was flagged off by Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal (As of Feb 2022), on 17 February 2022.
  2. Nearly 400 buses in Indore will soon run on Bio-CNG to be generated from waste at a plant which will be virtually inaugurated by PM Modi on 19 February, 2022.
  3. The Government has approved the continuation of the Capacity Development (CD) Scheme till 31 March 2026.
  4. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman participated in the first G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ meeting under the G20 Presidency of Indonesia, on 17 February, 2022.
  5. India will hold the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023 and the G20 Summit will be held in India in 2023 (18th edition).

  17. Popular Malayalam actor and comedian Kottayam Pradeep passed away on February 17, 2022 after suffering a heart attack. He was 61.
