  1. President Ram Nath Kovind on 25 February 2022 launched the 400th birth anniversary celebrations of Ahom General Lachit Borphukan.
  2. Nationalist, freedom fighter, and social reformer Veer Savarkar’s 56th death anniversary was observed on 26 February 2022.
  3. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandavia launched the National Polio Immunization Drive for 2022 on 26 February 2022. The ‘Polio Immunization Day’ 2022 will be organized on 27 February.
  4. Home Ministry has declared Delhi headquarters of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd. (SPMCIL) as a ‘prohibited place’ under Section 2 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
  5. Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL) has announced the separation of the position of Chairman of the Board and the CEO and Managing Director of the company. Nitin Paranjpe has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of the company with effect from March 31, 2022.
  6. The Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj has launched a new app, called the ‘Ombudsperson App’ for Mahatma Gandhi NREGA, to address the various issues related to the ombudsperson.
  7. The government’s Defence Accounts Department (DAD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to make pension-related online services accessible to former servicemen settled in remote parts of the country.
  8. The Government of Maharashtra launched the state’s Agriculture Export Policy (AEP) on 25 February 2022. It will focus on the export promotion of 22 agricultural commodities.
  9. World Economic Forum (WEF) and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on a jointly designed ‘Sustainable Cities India' programme.
  10. Sujoy Choudhury has joined the board of Indian Oil Corporation as the Director for Planning and Business Development.
  11. IDBI Bank’s board has approved the re-appointment of Rakesh Sharma as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company for a period of 3 years with effect from 19 March 2022.
  12. Three more Rafale fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) reached India from France, in February 2022.
  13. The High Commission of India in Dhaka formally lauched the Suborno Jayanti Scholoarship website on 24 Feb 2022.
  14. Singer Anup Jalota released the book "Udaan Ek Majdoor Bachhe Ki" in February 2022 at an event. The author of this book is Mithilesh Tiwari.
  15. Odisha’s first tribal chief minister as well as last Congress chief minister of the state, Hemananda Biswal passed away. 
  16. Indian weightlifter and 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver-medallist, Mirabai Chanu has won the gold medal in the 55kg weight category at the Singapore Weightlifting International 2022 on February 25, 2022.
