  1. ‘World NGO Day’ is celebrated every year on 27 February in several countries across the world.
  2. In India, February 27 is celebrated as the National Protein Day, to create awareness about protein deficiency and encourage people to include of this macronutrient in their diet. This year’s theme of India Protein Day is ‘Food Futurism’.
  3. The Delhi Cabinet has approved to set up India’s first of its kind ‘electronic-waste eco-park’. It has also agreed to devise ‘Delhi Film Policy 2022’, as a thrust to promote tourism.
  4. Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Narayan Rane has announced the establishment of MSME-Technology Centre with an outlay of Rs. 200 Crore, in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.
  5. IKEA has appointed Susanne Pulverer as its new and first woman Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) for its India Business.
  6. The government has announced to elevate senior IAS officer Abihishek Singh as the new National e-Governance Division (NeGD) CEO.
  7. India ranked 43 out of 55 countries on the International Intellectual Property Index 2022 and has improved its overall IP score from 38.4 per cent to 38.6 per cent .
  8. India has been unanimously elected for the new Chairmanship of the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG).
  9. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has successfully commissioned a 1.7 MW solar photovoltaic plant at Bina in Madhya Pradesh for the Indian Railways.
  10. India and Nepal agreed to set up a joint task force on “proposal to construct a hydropower project” from investments of both the countries.
  11. India evacuated 219 people as part of its mission to bring Indians from war-hit Ukraine, on 26 February 2022.The evacuation mission is titled ‘Operation Ganga’.
  12. The Indian Air Force has decided not to deploy its combat jets in a multilateral air exercise Cobra Warrior in the UK in March 2022 in view of the situation arising out of the crisis in Ukraine.
  13. The third edition of the joint military exercise “EX DHARMA GUARDIAN-2022” between India and Japan will be conducted from 27 February to 10 March 2022, at Belagavi (Belgaum), Karnataka.
  14. Canada has become the first country to authorize the use of a plant-based COVID-19 vaccine.
  15. Chinese rover Yutu-2 recently discovered mysterious glass spheres on far side of the moon.
  16. Indian captain Mithali Raj has announced that Harmanpreet Kaur will be the team's co-captain in the upcoming Women's 50-over World Cup starting March 4.
