  1. ‘Ramkrishna Jayanti’ is observed every year on 4 March, 2022. Ramkrishna Paramahansa’s birth anniversary is celebrated as Ramakrishna Jayanti. He received the title of “Paramahansa” from his Vedantic guru - Totapuri.
  2. ‘National Safety Day’ is observed on, 4 March. The main objective of this day is to promote the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) movement in the country. The theme for 2022 is ‘Nurture young minds-Develop safety culture’.
  3. In India, March 4 is celebrated as ‘National Security Day’ (Rashtriya Suraksha Diwas) every year, in the honour of the Indian Security Forces.
  4. ‘World Obesity Day’ is observed every year on March 04. The theme of World obesity Day 2022 is ‘Everybody Needs to Act’.
  5. Every year, the 1st Friday of March is celebrated as ‘Employee Appreciation Day’, as a recognition of the good work of employees. Dr. Bob Nelson, the founder of the organization Recognition Professionals International, was the founder of the day.
  6. The Ministry of Tourism has constituted ‘Swadesh Darshan Award’ in different categories. The Ministry of Tourism under its flagship scheme of ‘Swadesh Darshan’ has sanctioned 76 projects in 31 State/Union Territories of India for more than Rs.5500 crores.
  7. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presented the Budget 2022-23 in the state Assembly.
  8. Arunachal Pradesh will get a Greenfield Airport in Hollongi, 15 Kms from Itanagar.
  9. The new promoters of Jet Airways (India) Limited, Jalan-Kalrock consortium, have appointed Sanjiv Kapoor, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airline.
  10. The ‘National Mission for Clean Ganga’ (NMCG) was awarded the ‘Special Jury Award’ at the 7th India Industry Water Conclave and 9th edition of FICCI Water Awards, held virtually, from 2-3 March 2022.
  11. India has been ranked at 120th position in the Sustainable Development Report 2021 or Sustainable Development Index 2021. In this Index, Countries are ranked by a score out of 100. India has a score of 60.07.
  12. ‘Herath’ or the ‘Night of Hara (Shiva)’, generally known as ‘Maha Shivaratri’, is the main festival celebrated by the Kashmiri Pandits across Jammu and Kashmir (J &K). The festival marks the marriage anniversary of Lord Shiva and Goddess Uma (Parvathi).
  13. Tata Motors has launched a mobile showroom (showroom on wheels) named ‘Anubhav’, to target rural customers by increasing their reach in rural areas and providing them with a doorstep car buying experience.
  14. Film Critic, writer Jaiprakash Chouksey has passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 82 years.
  15. NASA successfully launched the third in a series of next-generation weather satellites for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), in Mar’22.
  16. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has banned athletes from Russia and Belarus from competing in the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympics. The games are being held from 4-13 March, 2022.
  17. ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 began on 4 March, 2022 in New Zealand. The ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 final is scheduled to be played on 3rd April at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
  18. India’s Shri Nivetha, Esha Singh, and Ruchita Vinerkar have won the gold medal in the women’s 10m air pistol team event of the ISSF World Cup in Cairo, Egypt.
