  1. The ‘Jan Aushadhi Diwas’ is celebrated on 7 March 2022 by the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Device Bureau of India (PMBI). The theme of the Janaushadhi Diwas is “Jan Aushadhi-Jan Upyogi”.
  2. World Tennis Day’ is observed on the first Monday (this Year 7th March) of March every year. The International Tennis Federation(ITL) organized the first World Tennis Day on March 4th, 2013.
  3. Union Home Minister Amit Shah 6 March 2022 attended the 53rd Raising Day ceremony of Central Industrial Force (CISF) in Ghaziabad, UP.
  4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 6 March 2022 inaugurated Pune Metro Rail Project. The Rs 11,420 crore – 31.25 km Pune metro Phase 1 comprises a 16.58 km Corridor-1 from Pimpri Chinchwad to Swargate with 14 stations and a 14.66 km Coridor 2 from Vanaz to Ramwadi with 16 stations.
  5. A three-day symposium on the theme ‘Imagining India @2047 through Innovation’, will be held in Chennai form 7-9 March 2022. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State of the Ministry of Science and Technology will inaugurate it.
  6. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh virtually inaugurated the four-day Indo-Pacific Military Health Exchage (IPMHE) conference, on March 7, 2022.
  7. The India Global Forum (IGF) at Bengaluru will be held on 7th and 8th March 2022. IGF is the agenda-setting forum for international business and global leaders.
  8. The government has launched ‘Donate-a-Pension’ programme. It is an initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme.
  9. 9th Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise ‘SLINEX’ began on 7 March 2022 in Visakhapatnam.
  10. Former Director of Health Services in Tripura, Dr Ila Lodh, will be posthumously honoured with the ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar-2020’ on March 8, 2022.
  11. Legendary sarod exponent Ustad Amjad Ali Khan was on 6 March 2022 conferred the Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Lifetime Achievement Award.
  12. The Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) has organized the 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC), which took place in Barcelona, Spain form 28 February to 3 March.
  13. Singer Usha Uthup’s biography ‘The Queen of Indian Pop: The Authorized Biography of Usha Uthup’, has been released.
  14. Indian writer and Journalist, Amitava Kumar has come out with a new book titled ‘The Blue Book: A Writer’s Journal’. The book has been published by HarperCollins India.
  15. Former Australia cricketer (wicket keeper), Rodney William Marsh has passed away in Adelaide Australia.
  16. India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on 6 March 2022 surpassed Kapil Dev’s 434 wickets in the second Test against Sri Lanka. He became India’s second-highest wicket-taker behind Anil Kumble, who finished his career with 619 Test scalps.
  17. In the women’s 25m pistol team event final, India defeated Singapore 17-13 to clinch their third gold of the ISSF World Cup 2022 on 6 March 2022.
  18. Indian women cricket captain, Mithali Raj has become the first woman to appear in six World Cups. She is the third cricketer overall to play six world cup after Sachin Tendulkar and Javed Miandad.
