  1. ‘Global Recycling Day’ is annually observed across the globe on 18th March. The theme of event for Global Recycling Day 2022 will focus on the ‘Recycling Fraternity’.
  2. ‘World Sleep Day’ is a Global event celebrated on March 18th 2022. The theme for World Sleep Day 2022 is ‘Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, Happy World’.
  3. The ‘Ordnance Factories’ Day’ is observed on the 18th March every year.
  4. On 18 March 2022, West Bengal celebrated the ‘Dol Utsav’ or ‘Dol Jatra’, the festival of colors, marking the onset of spring season.
  5. Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on 17 March 2022 presented a Rs 26,893 crore tax-free budget for 2022-23.

  9.  Telengana turned out to be the first state in India to adopt the Crop Diversification Index (CDI) by way of recording their crop diversification pattern in the form of an index.

  15. The President of Tanzania, John Magufuli has passed away following a heart ailment.
