  1. The ‘International Day of Forests’ (also known as ‘World Forestry Day’) is celebrated every year on March 21. The theme for 2022 is “Forests and sustainable production and consumption”.
  2. International Day for the ‘Elimination of Radial Discrimination’ is celebrated every year on 21 March. The 2022 edition of the International Day focuses on the theme “VOICE FOR ACTION AGAINST RACISM”.
  3. On 21st March, ‘World Poetry Day’ is celebrated every year to recognize the unique ability of poetry to capture the creative spirit of the human mind.
  4. 21st March is observed as the ‘World Down Syndrome Day’. The theme of WDSD 2022 is “Inclusion Means”.
  5. ‘World Puppetry Day’ was observed on 21 March 2022. The Theme of World Puppetry Day is ‘The Sea’.
  6. The United Nations’ (UN) ‘International Day of Nowruz’ is annually observed across the globe on 21st March.
  7. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has celebrated its ‘83rd Raising Day’ with Zeal and ceremonial fervor on 19 March, 2022.
  8. The Governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar formally inaugurated the 35th edition of the world-famous ‘Surajkund International Craft Mela’ at surajkund in Faridabad district of Haryana.
  9. The Country’s largest iron ore producer, NMDC Ltd, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for drone-based mineral research with IIT, Kharagpur.
  10. Nagaland has created history by becoming the first State Assembly in the entire country to implement the ‘National e-Vidhan Application’ (NeVA) programme to become completely paperless.
  11. NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform will organize the fifth edition of the ‘Women Transforming India Awards’ on 21 March, 2022. The awards will be conferred on 75 women achievers to celebrate their contribution towards a ‘Sashakt Aur Samarth Bharat’.
  12. India and Japan on 19 March 2022 launched a Clean Energy Partnership (CEP). It has been launched for co-operation towards achieving sustainable economic growth, addressing climate change, and ensuring energy security.
  13.   Taj Mahotsav, a 10-day festival of art, and culture, was inaugurated at the Shilpgram in Agra on 20 March, 2022. The Theme of the cultural festival is ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav Ke sang, Taj Mahotsav ke rang’.
  14.  Charles Leclerc has won the ‘Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix 2022’ at the Bahrain International Circuit, a motor racing circuit in the west of Bahrain.
  15. Former India cricketer Suresh Raina has been awarded the prestigious ‘Sports Icon’ award at the ‘Maldives Sports Awards 2022’.
  16.  Tokyo Olympic gold medalist, Neeraj Chopra claimed the coveted ‘Sprotstar of the Year’ (Male), award at the 2022 Sportstar Aces Awards.
  17.  Sportstar and The Hindu group released a coffee-table book, ‘Road to 1000’, at the 2022 Sportstar Aces Awards at The Taj Mahal Place hotel.
