  1. ‘National Maritime Day’ in India is observed on 5 April every year. This year 59th edition of the National Maritime Day. The theme of the National Maritime Day is “Sustainable Shipping beyond Covid-19”.
  2. The United Nations General Assembly has designated 5 April to be observed as an ‘International Day of Conscience every year’.
  3. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has launched the Broadcast Seva Portal. It is platform aimed at improving the ease of doing business in the broadcast industry.
  4. Andhra Pradesh on 4 April 2022 got a new map with the creation of 13 new districts, taking the number of total districts in the state to 26.
  5. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on 4 April 2022 launched “Kaaval Uthavi” app. It contains 60 Features that will help seek police assistance during any emergency.
  6. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ in Shravasti district on 4 April 2022 to ensure 100 percent enrolment in Primary and Upper Primary Schools in the State.
  7. As per the ‘Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy report’, Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in 2022. Chhattisgarh has been ranked 1st among states with the lowest unemployment rate in the country.
  8. Jupiter’s near-identical twin has been discovered. The exoplanet, referred to as K22016-BLG-0005Lb, orbits its star at a similar distance from its star as Jupiter is from the Sun.
  9. IndiGo co-promoter Rakesh Gangwal has signed a pact with IIT-Kanpur to jointly set up School of Medical Sciences and Technology at its campus.

  18.  Imran Khan has been de-notified as the PM of Pakistan, in wake of the dissolution of the National Assembly by the President. He has nominated former Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed for the Office of caretaker Prime Minister.
