  1. On 7th April, UNESCO commemorates the ‘International Day of Reflection’ on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
  2. WHO observes ‘World Health Day’ every year on April 7, to spread awareness about the importance of general health and well-being around the world.
  3. On World Health Day and the 75th Day of the countdown to ‘International Day of Yoga’, the Ministry of Ayush is hosting a magnificent programme for the presentation of the Common Yoga Protocol in the backdrop of 15th August Park, Lal Quila, (Red Fort) Delhi.
  4. The Government of India’s Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD) has launched a pilot project in Uttarakhand to implement the one Health Framework through the One Health Support Unit.
  5. ‘Sarhul’ is the Festival of the New Year celebrated in the State of Jharkhand by the tribal communities as part of the local Sarna religion.
  6. Civil Aviation Department of the Uttar Pradesh government has signed a lease agreement with the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

  10. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved an extension in the tenure of Murli M. Natarajan as the Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of DCB Bank for a period of two years.
  11. Punjab National Bank has implemented the Positive Pay System (PPS) being compulsory for cheque payments worth Rs 10 lakh and above.
  12. India and Israel on 6 April 2022, concluded a 2-day bilateral workshop on Quantum Technologies (I2QT-2022). It was organized by the DRDO and DRDO-Industry-Academia Centre of Excellence (DIA-CoE) along with IIT Delhi.
  13.  The World Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will provide a loan of Rs 7,500 crore to the government of Gujarat for its ‘Mission School of Excellence project’.
  14.  A Book Titled ‘The Maverick Effect’ authored by Harish Mehta tells the untold story of how in the 1970s and 1980s ‘band of dreamers’ joined hands to create NASSCOM and pave the way for the IT revolution in India.

  18.  Meghalaya Governor Satyapal Malik and former Research and Analysis Wing Director A. S. Dulat have been honoured with the ‘Sant Namdeo National Award’, for the Year 2021 and 2020, respectively.
