  1. ‘National Safe Motherhood Day’ is observed on April 11 every year. It promotes awareness about the importance of having proper access for pregnant women to healthcare.
  2. ‘World Parkinson’s Day’ is observed annually on April 11 to spread awareness about the neurodegenerative disease.
  3. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) is celebrating ‘Pariksha Parv-4.0’ from 11 April to 31 May 2022.
  4. Jyotiba Phule was born on 11 April 1827. He was a social activist from Maharashtra who worked for the abolition of the caste system and untouchability and for the upliftment of Women.
  5. Gujarat has topped the Niti Aayog’s State Energy and Climate Index-Round 1 (SECI) among larger states. Gujarat was followed by Kerala and Punjab.
  6. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on 11 April 2022 reconstituted the state Cabinet, inducting 13 new faces and re-inducting 11 from his first team.
  7. Himachal Pradesh’s ‘Kangra’ Tea will soon get a European Commission Geographical Indication Tag (GI Tag); this tag helps Kangra Tea to get an opportunity to enter the European Market.
  8. The 20th Meeting of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) was held in Pakke Tiger reserve in Arunachal Pradesh and was led by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav.
  9. The South-Central Railway (SCR) has introduced the “One Station, One Product” campaign at six main stations across its six divisions. Arun Kumar Jain, SCR in-Charge General Manager, has opened stalls at Secunderabad Station as part of the new initiative.
  10. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), MeitY has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), ISRO, Hyderabad for technical collaboration.
  11. ‘Indus Merchant Soulutions’, a mobile app for mechants of Induslnd Bank, got the Digital CX Awards 2022 for ‘Outstanding Digital CX – SME Payments’.
  12. Currently a Member of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Dr. Manoj Soni has been appointed the Chairman of the country’s premier government recruiting agency.
  13. Veteran Bengali author Amar Mitra was awarded this year’s ‘O. Henry’ Prize for a short story he wrote 45 years back. He bagged the award for his short story titled ‘Gaonburo’- a Bengali Short fiction, which was translate into English (The Old Man of Kusumpur) earlier.
  14. The fourth India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue is being held on 11 April 2022. The Indian delegation is being led by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar.
  15. Indigenously designed and developed, three different types of loitering munitions were successfully tested in Ladakh in March 2022.
  16. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari- Monaco) has won the ‘Formula One (F1) 2022 Australian Grand Prix’, held on 10 April 2022 in Melbourne, Victoria.
  17. The 15-member Indian Boxing contingents ended their campaign at the Thailand ‘Open International Boxing Tournament’ in Phuket with 10 medals, including three golds, four silvers and three bronze.
