  1. ‘World Creativity and Innovation Day’ is celebrated on 21 April every year. The theme of World Creativity and Innovation Day 2022 is‘Collaboration’.
  2. India observes ‘National Civil Services Day’ on 21 April every year to acknowledge the works of officers engaged in several public service departments in the country.
  3. The Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Jammu and Kashmir, under the e-governance initiative has launched an app ‘Jan Nigrani’, intended to help people lodge their complaints related to various schemes online.
  4. Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister, recently launched the National Conference on Agriculture for the Kharif Campaign 2022-23 at the NASC Complex in New Delhi.
  5. Digit Insurance has appointed Jasleen Kohli as the company’s new Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from April 20,2022.
  6. Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar has been appointed as the next Director-General of Military Operations. He would take charge of the new office on May 1st .
  7. Procter and Gamble India appointed L. V. Vaidyanathan, who leads the company’s business in Indonesia, as the new Chief Executive Officer.
  8. Visiting British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 21April 2022 became the first PM of the UK to visit the Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat.
  9. Karnataka CM Basavraj Bommai has announced that the under-construction shivamogga airport will be named after former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa.
  10.  Bharati group-backed OneWeb and New Space India Limited, the commercial arm of ISRO, have entered into an agreement that will help ensure OneWeb completes its satellite launch programme.
  11.  PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Global Ayush Investment and Innovation Summit 2022’ at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on 20 April 2022.
  12.  G20 countries have provisionally agreed to set up a global fund for pandemic preparedness, likely to be housed at the World Bank.
  13.  Districts Bishnupur (Manipur) and Churu (Rajasthan) were presented “Prime Minister’s Award” for ‘Excellence in Public Administration in Khelo India’, on 21 April 2022.
  14.  Innovations for Defence Excellence, Defence Innovation Organisation (iDEX-DIO) is organising DefConnect 2.0 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 22 April, 2022.
  15.  NITI Aayog and UNICEF have signed a deal on sustainable development goals with a focus on children.
  16.  Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been named among five players in Wisden’s ‘Cricketers of the Year’ in the 2022 edition of the Almanack.
