  1. ‘International Albinism Awareness Day’ is observed by the United Nations on June 13 every year. The theme for International Albinism Awareness Day 2022 is “United in making our voice heard”.
  2. International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD), a global initiative, was observed on 9th June 2022 to create awareness about level crossing safety.
  3. Industrialist and philanthropist, Ratan Tata was presented with Honorary Doctor of Literature by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan Mimbai.
  4. India’s Krishna Srinivasan has been appointed as the director of the Asia and pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund.
  5. The government is set to introduce cheetahs from South Africa in Kuno-Palpur National Park in Madhya Pradesh by August 2022.
  6. Avani Lekhara on 11 June 2022 won gold at the R8-Women’s 50m 3P SH1 event during the ongoing Chateauroux Para Shooting World Cup 2022.
  7. India qualified for the FIFAe Nations Cup (FeNC) 2022 for the first time ever on 11 June 2022 by defeating the Korea Republic and Malaysia in Nation Series 2022 playoffs.
  8. North Korea has appointed veteran diplomat Choe Son-hui as its first female foreign minister.
  9. In Weightlifting, Akanksha Vyvahare won a silver medal for India in the Youth World Championships in Mexico on 12 June 2022.
  10.   Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan has inaugurated a cancer diagnostics and research centre in Kochi, which is slated to be the country’s first oncology laboratory for comprehensive cancer diagnostic services.
  11.  Hosts Haryana won the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2021 title with 52 gold medals on the final day.
  12.  Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh released the 2nd edition of the National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment 2021 (NeSDA 2021) on 13 June 2022.
