  1. India celebrates National Doctors Day on 1 July, the birth anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, an eminent physician, academician, freedom fighter and politician. For 2022 the theme for National Doctor’s Day is “Family Doctors on the Front Line”.
  2. The Chartered Accountants’ Day or CA Day is held on 1 July every year in India. It is also known as ICAI Foundation Day.
  3. India celebrates 1 July as the GST Day to commemorate the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) that replaced the old indirect tax regime in the country.
  4. Ban on manufacture, import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of identified single use plastic items has come into force from 1 July, 2022 across the country.
  5. Ferdinand Marcos Jr has been sworn in as the President of the Philippines in Manila.
  6. Union Cabinet approved a Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India and the International Renewable Energy Agency.
  7. The central government has revised pension, family pension and other compassionate benefits being given to the central government employees and their dependents under the 5th, 6th and 7th Central Pay Commission.
  8. Karnataka government has launched the ‘Kashi Yatra’ scheme. The Kashi Yatra project, which offers a cash assistance of Rs 5,000 to each of the 30,000 pilgrims willing to conduct a pilgrimage to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
  9.  Adani Sportsline, the sports arm of the Adani Group, has inked a long-term principal sponsorship deal with the Indian Olympic Association(IOA).
  10. The Uttar Pradesh Government is going to issue cards to each and every family in the state. These cards will be known as ‘Family Cards’ and with the help of these cards, the government will identify the families who do not have any government job or any kind of employment.
  11. NASA launched a CAPSTONE CubeSat to the moon from New Zealand on 28 June, 2022.
  12.  The Bengaluru Electricity Company (BESCOM) has developed the ‘EV Mitra’ mobile app to provide information about EV charging stations in Bengaluru.
  13. Actor Ambika Rao who was popular for playing supporting roles in Malayalam film industry, passed away.
  14.  The United Kingdom government has announced a partnership with leading businesses in India to offer 75 fully funded scholarships for India students to study in the UK from September, in celebration of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
