  1. Amitabh Kant, the former CEO of Niti Aayog, will be the new Sherpa for G-20. Kant will replace Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
  2. Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Tina Dabi on 6 July took charge as the Collector and Magistrate of Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan.
  3. SBI General Insurance Company Ltd. has announced Paritosh Tripathi as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective from 5 July.
  4. Asia Cup 2022 is the 15th edition of the Asia Cup Cricket Tournament. The Asia Cup 2022 is going to be held in Sri Lanka between August and September.
  5. Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala inaugurating India’s First Animal Health Summit 2022, called for greater use of Ayurveda for ensuring better animal health.

  8. India born Gita Gopinath became the first woman and second Indian to feature on the ‘wall of former chief economists’ of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
  9. R Dinesh, Executive Vice-Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, has been chosen as the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) President Designate for the years 2022-2023.

  11.  PM Narendra Modi on 7 July, 2022 inaugurated ‘Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam’ on implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in Varanasi.
  12.  British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 7 July, 2022 announced his resignation. Johnson will serve as the PM until a new leader is appointed. He served just three years as the British Prime Minister.
  13.  Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on 7 July, 2022 launched ‘SVANidhi Mahotsav’ in New Delhi.
  14.  Shinzo Abe, Former Prime Minister of Japan, has passed away after being shot at during an election campaign in western Japan’s   Nara city.
