  1. The Tripura government has launched a new scheme named ‘Earn with Learn’ to bring back those who had dropped out of schools following the outbreak of Covid-19. This scheme is a part of the ‘Vidyalaya Chalo Abhiyan’ (Let’s go to school).
  2. Space tech startup Agnikul Cosmos on 13 July, 2022 inaugurated India’s first-ever factory to manufacture 3D-printed rocket engines in Chennai.
  3. Ahmedabad city and the state of Kerala have been listed by TIME Magazine in its list of the ‘world’s greatest places of 2022’.
  4. The Union Cabinet on 13 July, 2022 approved Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line in Gujarat and Rajasthan to provide connectivity and improve mobility.
  5. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a new mobile app named ‘AadhaarFaceRd’ to perform face authentication.
  6. India has moved to the 3rd spot with 108 rating points, surpassing Pakistan in the ICC ODI Team Rankings for July 2022.
  7. Govt of Bangladesh has appointed Mustafizur Rahman as the next High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India.
  8. The Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, recently released a book titled ‘The McMahon line: A century of discord’. The book has been authored by General J. J. Singh (Retd), the former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and former Chief of Army Staff (CoAS).
  9. As told by his son Benito Echeverria, Luis Echeverria Alvarez, who presided over Mexico from 1970 to 1976, passed away at the age of 100.
  10.  The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has authorised Meena Hemchandras appointment as the Karur Vysya bank’s temporary chairperson for three years, according to private sector lender Karur Vysya Bank.
  11.  Padma Shri winning noted social worker Avdhash Kaushal passed away recently following a prolonged illness. He was 87.
  12. Abhishek Verma, archery gold winner from the Asian Games and Jyothi Surekha Vennam took home bronze at the World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
  13.  Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of AIIMS, Delhi in collaboration with Association of Plastic Surgeons of India (APSI), will organize ‘APSI Sushruta Film Festival’ (ASFF 2022).
  14.  BCCI President Sourav Ganguly as the former India captain was felicitated by the British Parliament on 13 July, 2022.
