  1. World Day for International Justice is observed on July 17 to commemorate the organisations that work to bring justice to the victims of international criminal acts.
  2. Wall Street veteran Marty Chavez is joining the board of Google parent Alphabet Inc., adding significant finance muscle to the technology giant.
  3. The government has approved the continuation of the scheme for Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL) with the same rates as announced by the Ministry of Textiles for exports of apparel/garments and made-ups until 31 March, 2024 in an effort to increase exports and create jobs in the textile industry.
  4. A hydrazine leak on a SpaceX cargo Dragon spacecraft caused the launch of the spacecraft to be delayed by more than a month.
  5. Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has allotted over 7.1 crore equity shares to internet major Google for Rs 734 apiece.
  6. Defence Ministry has set up an apex committee with Defence Secretary as Chairman to conduct a Performance and Efficiency Audit into various aspects of its activities.
  7. Indian Grandmaster Aravindh Chithambaram emerged winner in the 41st Villa De Benasque International Chess Open in July 2022.
  8. V. K. Singh has taken charge as Director (Technical) of REC Limited with effect from 12 July, 2022.
  9. NHPC signed two MoUs for the development of ‘Pilot Green Hydrogen Technologies’ to reduce the carbon footprint in the Power Sector in Leh and Kargil.
  10. The Knowledge Portal for Khadi was launched on 14 July, 2022. It is a platform developed by the Center of Excellence for Khadi to provide design directions to the Khadi institutions.
  11. On 14-15 July the National Conference of State Agriculture and horticulture Ministers, was held in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
  12. Kerala has become the first and the only state in India to have its own internet services through the Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) Limited’s KFON project and Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Project that aims to provide internet access to everyone in Kerala.
  13. Indian Bank was awarded with the ‘Best Performing Bank Award’ in Tamil Nadu for the Fiscal Year 2021-22 under ‘SHG (Self Help Group) Bank Linkage Programme’ category from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
  14. The Japanese government announced its decision to honour former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe with the country’s highest decoration ‘the Collar of the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum’ posthumously.
