  1. Chairman of Dabur India Ltd, Amit Burman has resigned from his post. Mohit Burman has been elevated to the position of non-executive chairman of the Board of Directors of Dabur India Limited with effect from 11 August  for a period of 5 years.
  2. The ‘Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation’ for the year 2022 has been awarded to 151 Police personnel.
  3. 1st Khelo India Women’s Hockey League under-16 will be held at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi from 16-23 August, 2022.
  4. Russian rocket has successfully launched an Iranian satellite into orbit from southern Kazakhstan.
  5. Indian Air Force (IAF) contingent left for Malaysia to participate in a four-day bilateral exercise ‘Udarashakti’ with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).
  6. The 4th edition of the Tata Steel Chess India tournament will be held in Kolkata from 29 November to 4 December2022.  
  7. Noted Kannada singer Shivamogga Subbanna passed away at the age of 83 on 11 August, 2022.
  8. Renowned Bangladeshi architect Marina Tabassum has become the first South Asian architect to win the prestigious Lisbon Triennale Millennium Lifetime Achievement Award.
  9. The proposal to designate 1,197.48 sq.km in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli as the Agasthyamalai Elephant Reserve was approved by the Union Environment Ministry.
  10.   The 1st edition of Women Indian Premier League will be starting from March 2023 to be held in a one-month window and in all likelihood with five teams, a senior BCCI official confirmed.
  11. The Mexican President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador has proposed that the Global peace commission should include Pope Francis, the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and Indian PM Narendra Modi.
  12. Films Division is organizing a 3-day online film festival ‘Azadi Ke Rang’ from 13-15 August, 2022 on its website and YouTube channel.
  13. The State Bank of India (SBI) will manage the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) in Bangladesh for two more years.
  14.  Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs and Culture unveiled two books titled ‘Heartfelt-The Legacy of Faith’ and ‘Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery’ at ‘Vishwa Sadbhavana’ event organised by the National Institute of Design (NID) Foundation at Melbourne in Australia.
