  1. World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD) is held on 15 September  every year and is a day dedicated to raising awareness of lymphoma, an increasingly common form of cancer.
  2. 15 September, 2022 marks the 15th anniversary of the International Day of Democracy. A theme is chosen for the International Day of Democracy. This year, the day is focused on the “importance of media freedom to democracy, peace, and delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals”.
  3. In India, Engineers’ Day is celebrated on 15 September every year. The day is celebrated to recognise the contribution of engineers in the development of the nation.  
  4. Sibi George, a senior diplomat, was named the next Indian ambassador to Japan on 12 September, 2022.
  5. The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on 13 September, 2022 committed that it would adopt one lakh TB patients under the 'Tuberculosis Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan'.
  6. Film director Jean-Luc Godard, the godfather of France's New Wave cinema, died on 13 September, 2022 at the age of 91.
  7. The 74th Emmy Awards took place on 12 September in Los Angeles. ‘Succession’ was named the Best Drama of the Year. Michael Keaton won the Best actor in a Limited Series for the show ‘Dopesick’.    
  8. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, launched National Lists of Essential Medicines (NLEM) 2022, on 13 September, 2022. 384 drugs have been included in this list with addition of 34 drugs.
  9. India’s overall agricultural and processed food products exports rose by 30 percent to 9,598 million dollar in first four months of current fiscal (2022-23) compared to the same period in 2021.
  10. India will host the G20 Leaders’ Summit at the level of Heads of State Government on 9-10 September, 2023 in New Delhi.
  11. The City of Los Angeles has officially designated 17 September as Squid Game Day, in recognition of the South Korean Netflix series’ achievements.
  12.  Burjeel Holdings, a private healthcare services provider in the MENA region has signed Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan as its new brand ambassador.
  13. Iranian-French chess grandmaster, Alireza Firouzja beat Ian Nepomniachtchi in play-offs to win the ninth edition of the Sinquefield Cup.
  14. Bharatpe has appointed BP Kanungo, former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and Kaushik Dutta, current Chairman of Zomato, as the Independent Directors of Fintech Firm Bharatpe.
  15. The entrepreneur­cum­author, P.C. Balasubramanian (PC Bala) authored a new book ‘Rajini’s Mantras: Life lessons from one of India’s most­loved Superstar’ in English.
