  1. World Cotton Day is celebrated every year on 7th October as a global celebration of cotton and its stakeholders. 2022 theme: "Weaving a better future for cotton".
  2. The General Fertility Rate (GFR) has declined in India by 20% over the past decade, according to the Sample Registration System (SRS) data 2020 released in September, 2022.
  3. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on 6th October, 2022 participated in the Indian Hall of Fame Awards 2022 and launched the book "Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery" in Auckland, New Zealand.
  4. International Solar Alliance's (ISA) 5th Assembly will be held in New Delhi from 17th to 20th October, 2022.
  5. India's PR Sreejesh and Savita Punia have been voted FIH Men's and Women's Goalkeeper of the Year 2021-22, according to the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
