  1. ‘World Standards Day’ is observed on 14th October annually and aims to spread awareness about the importance of standardisation to the global economy. 2022 theme: ‘Shared Vision for a Better World’.
  2. International E-Waste Day is held on 14 October. 2022 will be focusing on small items of e-waste, under the slogan “Recycle it all, no matter how small!” .
  3. The 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) Convention will be held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in January 2023.
  4. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has announced that Goa will host the 37th edition of the National Games in October 2023.
  5. Delhi government has launched an app called ‘Delhi E-Monitoring’ to keep a track of all the ongoing and upcoming projects.
  6. The Supreme Court has delivered a split verdict on the ban on the wearing of hijab in educational institutions in Karnataka.
  7. President Droupadi Murmu flags off two train services in Northeast India in Tripura and Manipur.

  14.  Defence Ministry will organise the 12th edition of the prestigious Biennial Defence Exhibition – DefExpo 2022 – in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 18th to 22nd October, 2022.
  15.  Coal India Ltd (CIL) will set up a 1,190-MW solar power plant in the Bikaner district Rajasthan.
