  1. International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is observed on the 17th of October, 2022. International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 2022 theme, “Dignity for All in Practice”.
  2. Every year, October 17 is celebrated as World Trauma Day. The day was created in New Delhi, India, in 2011.
  3. India will host the 90th General Assembly of the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) from 18th to 21st of October, in New Delhi.
  4. The Indian Army has signed historic MoU with 11 Banks for providing banking facilities to Agniveers on enrolment.
  5. Indian’s men’s air rifle team clinched a gold medal on 16th October, 2022 at the ongoing ISSF World Championship in Cairo, Egypt.
  6. Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw on 16th October, 2022 inaugurated India’s First Aluminum Freight Rake at Bhubaneswar Railway Station in Odisha.

  14. The third World Kuchipudi Natyotsavam was organized for three days in Vijayawada. The World Kuchipudi Natyotsavam starts on 14th October, 2022.
  15. Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dedicate 75 Digital Banking Units (DBUs) to the nation on 16 October, 2022.
