  1. International Stuttering Awareness Day (ISAD) or International Stammering Awareness Day is celebrated on 22 October. The theme for 2022’s International Stuttering Awareness Day is “Being seen, being heard: Representation and normalisation of stuttering in the mainstream”.
  2. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai on 20 October, 2022 announced that the prestigious Karnataka Ratna award will be presented posthumously to actor Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November.
  3. The Assam government has declared that it has extended the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA), 1958 in eight districts and one sub-division for another six months.
  4. The Agni Prime New Generation Ballistic Missile was successfully testfired by India on 21 October, 2022. The missile was tested off the coast of Odisha.
  5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the grand Deepotsav celebration in Ayodhya on the eve of Diwali on 23 October.  
  6. The first conference on ‘Akash Tatva – Akash for Life’, will be held from 5- 7 November, 2022 in Dehradun.   
  7. Guinness World Records has officially declared ‘Monday’ as the worst day of the week.
  8. The Centre has appointed Sanjay Malhotra, a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Rajasthan cadre, as the new revenue secretary.
  9. The   Durgavati Tiger Reserve is a 2,339 square kilometres new tiger reserve that will spread across Narsinhpur, Damoh and Sagar districts.
  10.  In the fifth assembly of ISA, Union Power and New and Renewable Energy Minister R. K. Singh has been re-elected as the President of International Solar Alliance.
  11.  India ranked 41 out of 44 countries in the Mercer CFS Global Pension Index 2022.
  12.  K. P. Ashwini, a Dalit woman scholar from Karnataka, has been appointed Special Rapporteur for United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC).
  13.  Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with Ministry of Home Affairs on 19 October, 2022 organised 14th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme in New Delhi.
  14.  Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to launch Chandrayaan-3, its third mission to the moon, in June 2023.
  15.  Jaxay Shah, former Chairman of CREDAI and founder Chairman of Savvy Group, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Quality Council of India (QCI) for a period of three years.
