  1. The United Nations Global Media and Information Literacy Week is annually observed across the globe from 24 to 31 October to highlight the importance of media and information. The theme of Global MIL Week 2022 is “Nurturing trust – A Media and Information Literacy Imperative”.
  2. On 30 October birth anniversary of Indian nuclear physicist Homi Jehangir Bhabha who is also known as the father of the Indian nuclear program is celebrated. He was born on 30 October, 1909 in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India.
  3. Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced that a dedicated cyber intelligence unit will be set up in state to curb cyber and financial crime.
  4. To promote adventure tourism around the year in Doda district, the district administration started Chenab White Water Rafting Festival under ‘Back to Village Phase-4’.

  14. The Defence Ministry has informed that the first edition of the India-Mozambique-Tanzania Trilateral Exercise commenced at Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on 27 October, 2022.
  15. Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated a three-week-long cultural festival, ‘Jashn-e-Kashmir’- New Kashmir New Hope, celebrating tradition, culture and heritage at Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
  16. Emami Limited has signed Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as the new brand ambassador for its BoroPlus ayurvedic antiseptic cream.
