1. The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Charter Day is observed every year on 8 December.
2. Union Minister Anurag Thakur inaugurated India’s first Drone Skill Training Conference in Chennai on 6 December, 2022.
3. BCCI appointed former cricketer Hrishikesh Kanitkar as the new batting coach of the India women’s team on 6 December, 2022.
4. HBW News announced the winners of the Global Achievers Award 2022 on 6 December, 2022.
5. The 12^th World Hindi Conference is being organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Government of Fiji from 15-17 February, 2023 in Fiji.
6. Yoginder K Alagh, a well-known economist, former minister and an emeritus professor at Ahmedabad-based Sardar Patel Institute of Economic and Social Research (SPIESR) passed away on 6 December, 2022.

13.  President of India has approved the introduction of a new design for the President’s Standard and Colour and Indian Navy Crest.

15. Veena Nair, an Indian-origin teacher in Melbourne, Australia, has received the Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science 2022 under the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Secondary Schools category.
16.  On 5 December 2022, Meghna Ahlawat was elected as the first female President of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) and Kamlesh Mehta, an eight-time national champion and Arjuna awardee took over as the new Secretary General of the TTFI.
