  1. Arnala, the first ship of the ASW SWC project, being built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers for the Indian Navy was launched on 20 December, 2022 at Kattupalli, Chennai.
  2. From 7-19 December 2022, the United Nations (UN) Biodiversity Conference was held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to acknowledge new set of goals to guide global action through 2030 in order to prevent nature loss. 
  3. The Argentina legend, Lionel Messi has now become the new record holder as the professional football player with the most appearances in FIFA World Cup, which was previously held by Lothar Matthäus. Messi has appeared in 26 matches in FIFA Men's World Cups. 
  4. On 20 December 2022, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has released the annual report of CPGRAMS (Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) for the year 2022.

  10. Two exoplanets, Kepler-138c and Kepler-138d, were found by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) scientists in a planetary system known as Kepler-138, 218 light-years from Earth in the constellation Lyra.
