1. Arnala, the first ship of the ASW SWC project, being built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers for the Indian Navy was launched on 20 December, 2022 at Kattupalli, Chennai.
2. From 7-19 December 2022, the United Nations (UN) Biodiversity Conference was held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to acknowledge new set of goals to guide global action through 2030 in order to prevent nature loss. 
3. The Argentina legend, Lionel Messi has now become the new record holder as the professional football player with the most appearances in FIFA World Cup, which was previously held by Lothar Matthäus. Messi has appeared in 26 matches in FIFA Men's World Cups. 
4. On 20 December 2022, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has released the annual report of CPGRAMS (Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) for the year 2022. 
5. India’s longest escape tunnel on the Banihal-Katra rail link in Jammu and Kashmir was completed by Indian Railways on 15 December, 2022. 
6. England’s leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has became the youngest men’s Test cricketer to take a five-wicket haul on debut during the third match against Pakistan at the National Bank Cricket Arena. 
7. A book titled, ‘The Indian Navy@75 Reminiscing the Voyage’ by Commodore Ranjit B Rai (Retd) and defence journalist Aritra Banerjee has been released. 
8. The 13th World Trade Organization Ministerial conference will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in February 2024. 
9. The Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs has won the Platinum Icon in the Digital India Awards 2022 for their initiative ‘DataSmart Cities: Empowering Cities through Data’. 
10. Two exoplanets, Kepler-138c and Kepler-138d, were found by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) scientists in a planetary system known as Kepler-138, 218 light-years from Earth in the constellation Lyra. 
11. PT Usha is the first nominated MP to be the part of Panel of Vice-Chairmen in the history of the Rajya Sabha. 
12. Jaipur Pink Panthers won the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 final against a hard-fighting Puneri Paltan by a score of 33-29 to win their second PKL championship. 
13. Major General Mohit Seth on 20 December took over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army’s counter insurgency Kilo Force. 
14. Defence Ministry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bandhan Bank to onboard them as service centres under the System for Pension Administration Raksha (SPARSH) initiative. 
15. Union Steel Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched India’s first Green Steel Brand ‘KALYANI FeRRESTA’ in New Delhi. 
16. On 20 December 2022, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has launched a programme to create Impact Leaders in the areas of Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG).
