1. Every year 25 December is observed as Good Governance Day to mark the birth anniversary of the 10^th Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It was started in 2014 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
2. ‘Kura Pokkhir Shunye Ura’ (The Golden Wings of Watercocks) of Bangladesh and ‘Upon Entry’of Spain won the Best Film Award at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival.
3. On 20 December 2022, the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bengaluru-based deep tech startup QNu Labs to develop indigenous Satellite Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) products.
4. Sethrichem Sangtam, who helped triple the incomes of 1,200 marginalised farmers in Eastern Nagaland, was awarded the first Rohini Nayyar prize for outstanding contribution to rural development. 
5. The Madhya Pradesh government has constituted a high-level task force, which will make recommendations about regulating online gambling and gaming in the state after examining the technical and legal aspects. 
6. The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) received in-principle approval from the capital market regulator Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to set up a Social Stock Exchange (SSE) as a separate segment. 
7. Recently the Lok Sabha passed the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2022 to include Betta-Kuruba in the Scheduled Tribes (STs) list of Karnataka as a synonym for the already categorised Kadu-Kuruba tribe in the State.
8. One97 Communications Limited (OCL), which owns the brand Paytm, in association with HDFC ERGO General Insurance, a leading general insurance company in India launched a group insurance plan called ‘Paytm Payment Protect’. 
9. Sania Mirza from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, who cleared the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam and secured 149th rank, is set to become India’s first Muslim female fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Uttar Pradesh’s first IAF pilot. 
10. The Assam Cabinet has approved the proposal for the grant of industry status to the tourism sector in the state, to boost investments and generate employment. 
11. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) forthcoming Chandrayaan 3 mission will carry scientific instruments of the United States of America. 
12. To raise awareness about the importance of millet, the Agriculture Ministry organised a millet food festival in Parliament for the members on 20 December, 2022. 
13. Beth Mead has been awarded the BBC Sports Personality of the Year for 2022 as she was the player of the tournament and top scorer at Euro 2022. 
14. The Indian Air Force (IAF) received the delivery of the 36th Rafale fighter jet from France.
15. Professor Thalappil Pradeep, an Indian Scientist from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) received VinFuture Special Prize on 20 December, 2022 in Hanoi. 
16. On 23 December 2022, Legendary Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana, known for his villain and other character roles, passed away at the age of 87 years in Hyderabad, Telangana.
