1. Deakin University of Australia becomes first foreign university to set up its International Branch Campus in India at the Gujarat International Financial Tec-City (GIFT) City.
2. Rare Diseases Day is annually observed across the globe on the last day of February either 28 February or 29 February (in case of leap year) to create awareness about rare diseases and ensure access to treatment and medical representation for individuals with rare diseases. The theme of Rare Diseases Day 2023 is “Share Your Colours”.
3. Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Parshottam Rupala inaugurated the ‘Grand start-up Conclave’ on Animal Husbandry and Dairy in Hyderabad on 28 February, 2023.
4. The Government of Uttarakhand is set to establish India’s first government mother milk bank, a facility that can ensure to provide the nutritional elements of mother’s milk to newborns.
5. RBL Bank, the private lender said that it has reached an agreement with Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim Bank) under the Trade Assistance Programme (TAP) in order to facilitate cross-border commercial operations.
6. The Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Rao Inderjit Singh, launched the revised norms for MPLADS (Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme).

8. IT Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar on 28 February, 2023 launched a grievance appellate panel mechanism that will look into appeals by users against decisions of social media platforms.
9. Japan’s eminent hospitality group Hotel Management International Company Limited (HMI) will be opening 30 new properties across Uttar Pradesh. The company has signed an MoU with the UP Government to invest Rs 7200 crore at the UP Global Investors Summit.
10. NASA has picked Nicola Fox, a longtime solar scientist who heads its heliophysics division to become the US space agency’s science chief.
11. SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ movie’s popular song ‘Naatu Naatu’ which is nominated in the ‘Best Original Song’ category will be performed at the 95^th Academy Awards or Oscar awards by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava in their Oscar debut.

14. UAE’s second astronaut, Sultan Al-Neyadi - Mission Specialist, Primary Crew, Crew-6 embarked on the historic space mission on 27 February, 2023 from Kennedy Space Center, USA.
15. Vishal Sharma has been named the Chief Executive Officer-Designate (CEO-Designate) of the GIL-Chemicals Business, effective as of 1 March, 2023.
16. The Kerala Government and UN Women entered into an agreement, in order to boost women-friendly activities in the State’s tourism sector. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Kerala Tourism and UN Women India agreed to work towards promoting gender-inclusive tourism sites in the State.
