  1. National Safety Day is observed across India on 4 March annually with an aim to promote safe working environment and ensure safety of people in all aspects. The theme for 2023 National Safety Day is “Our Aim – Zero Harm”.
  2. National Security Day or Rashtriya Suraksha Diwas is annually observed across India on 4 March every year to honour the Indian Security Forces, which includes the Military, Para-Military, Commandos, Police Officials, guards and other forces, who are involved in maintaining peace and security of India. 
  3. World Obesity Day is observed on 4 March every year to promote practical solutions and help people to achieve and maintain a healthy weight while undertaking proper treatment. World Obesity Day 2023 theme is “Changing Perspectives: Let’s Talk About Obesity”.
  4. World Day of Fight Against Sexual Exploitation is annually observed across the globe on 4 March to create awareness about preventing sexual exploitation and to provide support to victims of sexual abuse.
  5. Indian Institute of Technology Madras has announced a collaboration with Industry and Academia in Denmark on 1 March, 2023.
  6. Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) train on 3 March, 2023 in New Delhi.
  7. The Asia’s longest-ever cycle race from Kashmir to Kanyakumari was flagged off from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir on 1 March, 2023.
  8. The 4th edition of the National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) commenced on 2 March, 2023 in the Central Hall of Parliament, New Delhi.
  9. National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) on 3 March 2023, signed an MoU to strengthen the value based sport education amongst school children and teachers.
  10. Dubai based Emirates Airline emerged as the largest foreign airline for outbound and inbound international traffic to and from India, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation India.
  11. Ales Bialiatski, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2022 was sentenced to 10 years in prison by a court in Belarus on 3 March, 2023.
  12. The Government of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, has announced plans to establish RAK Digital Assets Oasis, the world’s first free zone dedicated to digital and virtual asset companies.
  13. The Union Cabinet has approved the signing of a contract with Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T) for the acquisition of three Cadet Training Ships.
  14. Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Rashmi Shukla has been appointed as the Director-General of the border-guarding force, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
  15. President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the 7th International Dharma-Dhamma Conference 2023 at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on 3 March, 2023. Over 15 countries are participating in the three-day conference.
  16. Chandrashekhar Dasgupta, former Indian diplomat and the recipient of Padma Bhushan, passed away on 2 March, 2023 at the age of 82.
