  1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was established on 1 April, 1935, in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
  2. Odisha Day or Utkal Divas is celebrated on 1 April and this day is significant for the people of Odisha as it marks the formation of the state on 1 April, 1936.
