1. International Dance Day or World Dance Day is observed every year on 29 April, to celebrate dance and to increase awareness about its importance in diverse cultures and societies worldwide.
2. IIT Kanpur’s C3iHub, a cybersecurity Technology Innovation Hub, has launched a Cybersecurity Skilling Programme with support from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).
3. The US state of Pennsylvania has officially recognized the Hindu festival of Diwali as a national holiday.
4. Cricket Australia and Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) have honoured Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar on his 50^th birthday on 24 April, 2023 and the former West Indies great Brian Lara to mark 30 years since his innings of 277 at the Sydney Cricket Ground after they named the gates of the cricket stadium after these two legends.  
5. After a 64-year wait, members of the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation personally presented the 1959 Ramon Magsaysay Award to the Dalai Lama at his residence.

9. Mohammed Shahabuddin Chuppu was sworn in as the 22^nd President of Bangladesh on 22 April 2023, taking over from Abdul Hamid, in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, politicians, judges, and senior officials.
10. Vistara’s senior executive Sisira Kanta Dash has been appointed as the Chief Technical Officer of Air India.
11. Odisha FC won the Hero Super Cup 2023 final by defeating Bengaluru FC 2-1 at the EMS Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode, Kerala, on 25 April, 2023.
12. Pankaj Singh, the BJP MLA from Noida and son of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has been elected unopposed as Cycling Federation of India (CFI) President in the Annual General Body meeting at Nainital.
13. The 7^th edition of the joint military exercise ‘AJEYA WARRIOR’ between India and the United Kingdom is being conducted from 27 April-11 May, 2023 at Salisbury Plains, United Kingdom.
14. Canadian concrete waterproofing solutions provider, Xypex, has announced the launch of its first production plant in India.
15. Dubai-based airline Emirates has unveiled the world’s first robotic check-in assistant named Sara.
16. Kaur Singh, a legendary 1982 Asian Games gold medallist and Padma Shri awardee, passed away on 27 April 2023, in Kurukshetra, Haryana at the age of 74.
