1. The Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Shantanu Thakur inaugurated the Direct Shipping Service between Tuticorin and Maldives by flagging off the vessel ‘M.V. MSS Galena’ from V.O. Chidambaranar Port. 
2. The Indian Space Research Organisation has announced a new introductory-level online training programme called Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START).
3. Lionel Messi, who led Argentina to victory in the 2022 World Cup as their captain, and forward of Ligue 1 club Paris Saint- Germain (PSG), was honoured with the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year 2023 at the 2023 Laureus World Sports Awards.
