1. In a first of its kind for the state of Nagaland, two film personalities Ms. Kivini Shohe and Ms. Andrea Kevichüsa, will be representing Nagaland at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2023. 
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive three-day International Museum Expo-2023 on 18 May, 2023 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
3. Parminder Chopra has been recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) to become the next Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), India’s largest Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). If appointed, she will be the first woman to hold the position.

On 8 May 2023, Pakistani-Canadian author, translator, and storyteller, Musharraf Ali Farooqi, who translated Siddique Alam’s short story collection ‘The Kettledrum and Other Stories’ from Urdu to English, won the inaugural edition of the Armory Square Prize for South Asian Literature in Translation.
