  1. Telangana Day or Telangana Formation Day is celebrated on 2 June every year to commemorate the formation of the state of Telangana. It is a state public holiday in Telangana.
  2. Amarendu Prakash has taken charge as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) from 31 May, 2023.
  3. On 1 June 2023, India defeated Pakistan 2-1 in the finals to lift Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2023.
  4. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur has become the first of all AIIMS to receive the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) accreditation.
  5. Punjab Police launched a state-wide operation ‘OPS Clean’ aimed at keeping a tab on the activities of persons involved in the smuggling of commercial quantities of drugs.
