1. World Blood Donor Day is annually observed on 14 June to express gratitude towards selfless voluntary blood donors and celebrate the essence of life and humanity and to raise awareness about the significance of donating blood. The theme of World Blood Donor Day 2023 is “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.” 
2. Mumbai Traffic Police on 14 June, 2023 observed ‘No Honking Day’ in an effort to curb noise pollution in the city.
3. The Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI), operating under the Ministry of Mines on 13 June 2023, received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Education and Training (NABET).
4. A documentary titled ‘When Climate Change Turns Violent’ has won a special prize in the ‘Health for All’ category at the 4^th Annual Health for All Film Festival held at the World Health Organization headquarters in Geneva.
5. The Indian hockey team beat Argentina 2-1 in its final FIH Pro League 2022-23 match in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on 11 June, 2023.
6. On 13 June 2023, two warships of INS, ‘Anjadip’, the 3^rd of eight indigenously built Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), and INS ‘Sanshodhak’, the 4^th and last in the series of Survey Vessels (Large) Project, were launched by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd. at shipbuilding facility of Larsen & Toubro in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for the Indian Navy.
7. Vigyan-Vidushi – 2023, an initiative aimed at achieving gender balance in the field of Physics at the doctoral level, has commenced at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) in Mumbai.
8. Indian women’s team defeated South Korea by 2-1 in the final to lift its maiden Women’s Junior Asia Cup title in Kakamigahara, Japan.
9. India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have set an ambitious target to increase their non-oil bilateral trade from the current USD 48 billion to USD 100 billion by 2030.
10. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 for the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awardees from the state.

12. Forbes’ latest Global 2000 list has ranked Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited as the highest-ranking Indian company, climbing from the 53^rd to the 45^th spot in 2023.
13. Punjab National Bank has launched an IVR-based UPI solution-UPI 123PAY, making it the first public sector bank to do so.
14. A team of researchers uncovered a new species of gliding geckos named Gekko Mizoramensis in Mizoram. As the new species can glide the researchers have termed it a ‘parachute gecko’.
15. Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has signed Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya as the brand ambassador for Exter, its sub 4 metre sports utility vehicle (SUV).
16. Cormac McCarthy, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of such acclaimed novels as ‘The Road’ and ‘No Country for Old Men’ passed away at the age 89.
