1. Mohun Bagan Super Giant beat East Bengal Football Club by 1-0 to win the Durand Cup 2023 trophy at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata, West Bengal. With this victory, Mohun Bagan SG became the first team in Durand Cup history to win 17 titles.
2. Korvi Rakshand, the founder of the non-profit organisation JAAGO Foundation, is the 13^th Bangladeshi who has won the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award for developing inclusive education for the underprivileged children in Bangladesh.
