  • International Day of Persons with Disabilities ia a global observance celebrated every year on December 3.The theme for the year 2021 is “Leadership and Participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post – COVID-19 world”.
  • Parliament has passed the Dam Safely Bill, 2019 with the Rajya Sabha approving it on 2 December 2021.
  • President of India Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the fifth International Ambedkar conclave on 2 December 2021 in New Delhi.
  • Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Piyush Goyal has inaugurated the 40th edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2021 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Bihar is the partner state for the 40th IITF and the focus states are Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.
  • Sambit Patra has been appointed as the chairman of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet. 
  • South Sudan’s government has promised to end child marriage by 2030 in line with the African Union’s Campaign to end child marriages in the Continent.
  • Infrastructure Development Finance Company FIRST Bank has announced the launch of the FIRST Private Infinite card.
  • Dhanlaxmi Bank’s part time Chairman G. Subramonia Iyer has resigned on 2 December 2021.
  • Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and the Indian Army has signed a contract worth Rs. 47141 crore for the Refurbishment of IGLA-1M missiles.
  • Legendary Indian athlete, Anju Bobby George has been bestowed with the Woman of the Year Award by World Athletics for grooming talent in the country and for her advocacy of gender equality.
  • The renowned Telugu film lyricist and Padma Shri awardee, ‘Sirivennela’ Chembolu Seetharama Sastry passed away at the age of 66 years.
  • US military personnel and Bangladesh Navy (BN) began the 27th annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) maritime exercise virtually from 1 December in the Bay of Bengal.
  • The low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into ‘Cyclone Jawad’ which is likely to reach the north Andhra Pradesh, south Odisha coasts and Some parts of West Bengal.
