  1. First President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s 137th birth anniversary was observed on 3 December 2021.
  2. International Day of Banks is celebrated on December 4 to recognise the importance of multilateral and international development banks in financing sustainable developments.
  3. Indian Navy Day is celebrated in India on December 4 every year, to commemorate the Indian Navy’s daring attack on Karachi Harbour during the Indo –Pakistan war in 1971.
  4. The Celebration of 100 years of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is scheduled on December 4-5 , 2021. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is the current chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee.
  5. The Arunachal Pradesh (AP) Government has signed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as the brand ambassador and award-winning filmmaker and branding expert Rahul Mittra as brand advisor of the occasion of their golden jubilee celebrations, marking the 50th year of the naming of the state.
  6. Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) incubated startup, GUVI has signed Indian Women’s cricketer Smriti Mandhana as its brand ambassador.
  7. Himachal Pradesh Police has conducted the ‘President’s Colour Award’ ceremony at Shimla’s historic Ridge Ground. The Governor bestowed the ‘President’s Color Award’ to the State Police on this occasion.
  8. International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Department of Telecommunications operating under the Ministry of Communications conducted a Joint Cyber Drill 2021.
  9. PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation of the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor during his visit to Uttarakhand on 4 December 2021.
  10. The new Species of butterfly has been discovered in Dzongu in North Sikkim.
  11. Renowned scholar and national professor of Bangladesh Professor, Rafiqul Islam passed away. He was a recipient of the Bangla Academy Literary Award. He had written close to 30 scholarly books. Prof. Rafiqul Islam was currently the President of the Bangla Academy.
  12. The International Monetary Fund has appointed its outgoing chief economist Gita Gopinath as its First Deputy Managing Director (FDMD). It is going to be a historic movement when International Monetary Fund has the female at its first two leading positions. 
  13. Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen and Taiwan’s Tai Tzu Ying has been named BWF (Badminton World Federation) Male and Female player of the year respectively.
